Paul:
They did reband almost a year ago. The only control channel you need for DC Fire
is 856.1875. Make sure your HP1 has that control channel. (are you using it
from the full database or from a favorites list? A database update does NOT
change anything in a favorites list)
The MPDC channels are now all encrypted except Citiwide 1 and a few other
non-MPD channels and most are still using the 460 frequencies.

Subject: [Scan-DC] Any changes with DCFD?
I am a casual scanner guy who bought a HomePatrol1 about a year ago. I
had not used it in a few months, but I had been receiving all the DCFD
TRS channels at that time. This weekend I decided to fire it up again,
and about the first thing I did was update the database and firmware.
Now none of the DCFD trunked channels are being received, only the VHF
simulcast of the dispatch channel. I am receiving other trunked systems
for all the nearby jurisdictions, but not DCFD. I have tried reloading
the data base and reset the receiver, but the problem remains. I am an
IT guy, so I immediately suspect the integrity of the data or code
update. I checked RR DB change history and there were updates made to
this specific service the night before the latest release (9/15),
although no specifics are provided. Frankly, I am not 100% sure this
issue did not exist before I flashed the firmware and updated the
database, so I wanted to check with this group to make sure there had
not been some other change in the DCFD TRS.
Thanks for your interest and assistance!
