There was a fly over of the Vietnam Memorial for Memorial day. It included: One (1) UH-1, One (1) OH-58, One (1) CH-46, One (1) C-130 and One (1) B-52 aircraft. It was a low altitude flight, approx 1500 to 3000 feet.

Subject: [Scan-DC] Yesterday's (Monday's) flyover

Well, I hope it was a flyover. If not, someone has some explaining to do. About noon, I heard a loud plane go over my location in Alexandria, four miles south of the Pentagon and eight miles west of Andrews. I didn't get outside in time to see what it was, but I was watching when a B-52 flew over.

Not much chance of confusing that with anything else. It headed northwest, pretty much directly over the Masonic Temple, which is west of Old Town Alexandria. I guess he was coming from or headed to Arlington Cemetery or the Mall. I had no scanner on at the time. Several years back, a B-52 flew over Arlington Cemetery to observe the burial of someone. This was years before the Air Force Memorial opened. I watched from the steps of the Masonic Temple. At that time, the B-52 was miles away. Yesterday's flyover was much closer for me. I don't get to see one of them too often.

What was the first plane, or the other planes, if there were several.
