Interesting... could it have been $40,000?  A couple of other things strike
me... first of all I'd think it would take a little bit of time to steal 44
radios... second, it seems to me that unloading 44 of them at once would
draw some attention.

(Not dash-mounted and no damage... years ago the old MoTrac radios could be
removed with a key... are the current ones still like that?)
