In DC, where many of the streets are A, B, C, DC Fire will dispatch as "B as in Bravo St, NW" or "S as in Sam St, SE".

I'm from Philly.  Pine Street and Vine Street are both in the same police radio division.  It's not uncommon to hear them dispatched as P, Papa, Pine Street and V, Victor, Vine Street to make the distinction:{)
