There is a new website for residents of the Washington, D.C. area to help prepare for emergencies and receive information during emergencies: www.CapitalRegionUpdates.gov. Besides information on how to prepare for emergencies, there are links to utility outage maps, weather information, and information from jurisdictions in the National Capital area. Residents are encouraged to bookmark this site and go to it during emergencies for up-to-date information. (Deputy City Manager)
