Relative the new signs posting miles to and current driving time is very 
prevalent in Florida on several of their Interstates and believe me no 
one slows down until the traffic comes to a stop. Relative to alternate 
routes, unless you are very familiar with the area you are in, they 
seldom offer any kind of help.  Two many cars and not enough or large 
enough highways.
