[Scan-DC] BC785D Scanner w/P-25 Card

For what it's worth, I have the analog version of this scanner, and it's a
very solid performer. One thing I particularly like is that the display
screen is very nicely laid out, with two long lines of data (bank and
channel labels), surrounded by lots of ancillary information, in a very
readable format. It also has a record output (with relay), so separate
channels can fire an old-fashioned tape recorder. The audio quality is good,
too. Like most modern scanners, I suggest programming with software rather
than by hand. Before Virginia Beach went digital, I even programmed one of
these and gave it to my parents (who still find touch-tone phones
confusing), and they routinely listened to Virginia Beach police and fire.

I have not tried the digital version.
