Interestingly and unless the railroad does something about it, you can only see signals going northbound.

Wonder if they will do anything with the Rosslyn Industrial track.

Also a great sight time for the fireworks on 07/04.

>Arlington County just opened a new park that is very conducive to rail & air
>scanning. Long Bridge park is at the very northern tip of Crystal City, and
>has a long elevated walkway that is just a few feet off the rail lines that
>head into the city. The park also looks directly down the barrel of DCA
>runway 15. It is across Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary from the GW Parkway
>and the other good place for air scanning (Gravelly Point park).

>You can actually get to Long Bridge very easily off of 395 -- you don't need
>to go into Crystal City to get there (heading northbound, take the GW
>parkway exit toward National, but on the exit ramp, watch carefully for a
>right hand turn before you get to the parkway). You can also get right back
>on  395 (either north of south) from the park. I went there yesterday and
>it's very nice. A good place for a bike, due to the length of the walkway.
>There are several brand new soccer fields there too. There is a large
>metered parking lot -- looks like you have to pay during business hours. I'm
>going to head back there with my handheld this weekend.
