Every Wednesday from 10 am to 3 pm, receive a free guided tour of the DC Fire and EMS Museum.
The D.C. Fire and EMS Museum is operated by the Friendship Fire Association (FFA), the volunteer branch of the DC Fire & EMS Department, houses the history of the department, dating back to the late 1700's. Hundreds of fire-fighting items and related books, papers and pictures are displayed in the 4,000-square foot museum. The collection includes a hand-made fire bucket once owned by Georgetown resident Francis Scott Key, the author of the Star Spangled Banner.
