If anyone's contemplating the purchase of a Radio Shack PRO-197 at $299.99, the GRE PSR from Ham Radio Outlet is a better deal at $309.99 because it comes with a programming cable and the -197 doesn't.

I didn't look at the price on the PSR-600, but presumably the same deal.

Free shipping and no sales tax for those of us who live in what is laughingly called the Free State - 6% right off the top.
