Been out of the state for a while but I followed the discussion about 
Fairfax County rebanding.  When I have been in the county, I didn't notice 
any inability to hear what I normally hear, other than in the periods 
previously discussed when testing was underway prior to rebanding the system.

On Saturday, I finally took the time to update the firmware in the Pro-106 
by following the instructions on RadioReference.  That all went fine.

Then I rebanded the Fairfax TSYS, also following the instructions on 
RadioReference.  So far, I have not noticed any difference in what I'm 
hearing:  Up here near Tysons I still get everything except the 2nd Police 
District, which is shaded by a hill and mostly down low, anyway.  6th 
District seems incomplete, with reception probably depending on which 
towers are active at any given time.

It may also be that the rebanding process has not been completed in Fairfax 
County and that I will notice some changes once it is finished.

Would wecome comments from those of you who have been in town while the 
process has been underway.
