[Scan-DC] Earthquake

Checking in from 3rd and Indiana, downtown DC, across Constitution Ave. from the U.S. Capitol.

I didn't have my scanner with me.  I did have a Walkman AM-FM radio with me; everyone else had smartphones. 

A DCFD ladder truck responded to a call at 5th and Indiana, across the street from the Moultrie Courthouse. The ladder went up to the top of the building that houses the Subway - the one with the $5 Footlongs, not the Metro. A Park Police helicopter made a couple passes over the east end of the Mall. 

Metrorail is said, by WTOP, to be running at a maximum speed of 15 mph 'til any track damage is assessed. I figure the commuter rail lines will see similar slowdowns or stoppages until the track inspectors can get over the line. I don't see any reports of damage at the VRFE Yahoo! site.

Nice day to be outside.
