[Scan-DC] Mont Co PD - Consolidated Call Dispatch Group ??

I wonder why they went to that, if it's a permanent change, budget cuts, etc... 

What the heck were you guys doing up at that hour?  I was awake also - indigestion.  I was working on scanner programming and noticed something that may or may not be related... back in May there were a large number of talkgroup changes to the Montgomery County system, a few TGs dropped, a dozen or so added, two of the FD "zones" redone, and a few TGs reassigned.  Prior to these changes, each police district had its own "major event" TG, but the ones for 5D and 6D (Germantown & Gaithersburg) have been reassigned to unrelated areas (I don't remember what).  Also particularly interesting is the fact that 4 fire mutual aide TGs have apparently been deleted, possibly replaced by There were also 6 Special Operations TGs added on the fire side, maybe 3 additional Public Safety Shared and a bunch of Local Government Emergency and Coordination TGs.

The old Zone 74 Admin fire TGs apparently are now Incident Management Team TGs added on the fire side (no zone indicated) and the old zone 76s are now in Zone 74 as the Admin TGs... if I did all this correctly...

Guy at work is a rescue squad member and he had one of the new radios with him the other day... they're so complex that he teaches a course on how to use them at the training academy!

What happened to Channel 2 and Channel 1?  :)  (And what the hell kind of disasters is the county expecting!)
