Metropolitan Police Department’s Annual Family Field Day 

and 150th Anniversary Celebration



( Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department would like to invite the media to our Annual Family Field Day event and the 150th Anniversary celebration of our department. 



MPD members and their families will experience a day of fun, food, and entertainment. The event will include demonstrations from K-9 and the Mountain Bike Unit, a motorcycle rodeo, BBQ competition, and much more. Attendees can also learn about MPD’s history and celebrate 150 years of service to the Nation’s Capital.

WHERE:          Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier will conduct media availability at the 200 block of P 

                        Street, SW
