[Scan-DC] Off topic - Montgomery County Scameras?

Does anyone happen to know if perhaps a contract has expired for some of Montgomery County's S(peed)cameras?  In this instance I'm referring to the ones that consist of two or three large stainless steel enclosures that sit on the ground and are chained to a tree or something (only picture I could find had a link that was 3 lines long and I don't know how to do the tinyurl thing...)

At any rate, there are usually two of them on East Village Avenue in Gaithersbush near my 'hood and another two on Crabbs Branch Way in Rockville, but I haven't seen either pair of them for over a month now, maybe longer.  Previously when they disappeared, it would only be for a few days (less than a week)...

I know the cops have a saying, "When the windows go down, the speed goes up."  I can't believe they're not taking advantage of the warmer weather and not deploying those things to make a little money...
