QUANTICO, Va. - Since 1957 only one unit has been trusted to guard the President of the United States' "white top" helicopters: the Military Police Company of Marine Helicopter Squadron 1.

Since that time it has been critical that the unit employ the Marine Corps' best to serve and protect their commander-in-chief. To ensure this, applicants go through a rigorous screening process that only accepts 40 percent of those who apply.
