[Scan-DC] Montgomery County Fire - Major brush fire

Just monitored some aircraft on Washinton Center frequency 133.5500.   They can see the Germantown fire from over 30 miles away.   They're amazed at how big the fire is.

I've been listening to it (as much as I can, they're using about 6 or 8 different talkgroups!) and trying to follow it on a map... I believe it covers an area of three or four square miles.  The boundaries are (roughly) Riffle Ford Road. Darnestown Road (Rt. 28), and Germantown Road; it's sortof a triangular-shaped patch, a lot of it is park land (Seneca Creek State Park and South Germantown Recreational Park).

I'm getting ready to go outside and see if I can spot the smoke... still very windy here and it may be dissipating from where I am...
