It would be nice to see a side by side comparison of the GRE 800 and Uniden HP-1

As one who has done extensive testing on the HP-1 (I had one of the original factory prototypes right after the Uniden Open House last year), yes, it is a super travel scanner. And as Andrew has rightfully pointed out, GRE has their new competitor for the HP-1 - the PSR-800 out now.In fact, I just got the final review for edits that we are doing for the April issue of Monitoring Times from Bob last night. While I can't share the whole review (I do like my job eh), one of Bob's observations was "The overall performance of the new GRE PSR-800 is truly remarkable." Given Bob's lack of love for the newer tech advanced scanners in recent years, that says a lot. ;-)))Yes, they carry both the HP-1 and the GRE-800 at Grove.Larry Van Horn, N5FPWBrasstown, NC USAMT Assistant/Review/Technical EditorMilcom Monitoring Post http://mt-milcom.blogspot.com/Twitter: MilcomMP----- Original Message ----- From: "Clegg, Andrew W."
