[Scan-DC] ICC Frequencies

Perhaps. I'm not great at IDing these and it's hard to measure from a
photo. A post on RR states that MdTA will be using the same
frequencies (450 MHz) as the Tunnel Command in Baltimore so I would
definitely keep those programmed. Still no license applications.
Operationally it would seem to make sense to stay in that band for
consistency, however it doesn't give them any direct interop with the
rest of the county. I'm assuming that pole-mounted antenna isn't
going to be sufficient to provide coverage of an 18-mile highway. I
would further assume in this case that they're putting repeater
site(s) somewhere for coverage, maybe they will license them
eventually.

But I think I did see a couple of cruisers there... wasn't close enough to see antennas at that point but believe me, will be on the lookout! I had been wondering who would police it and didn't recognize the colors and graphics on the cruisers I saw, but Google was my friend this morning, which was when I found that it would be the Transportation Authority Police... will scope things out as much as I can over the holidays and report back!
