[Scan-DC] Giveaway: 2 Broken Regency Z-30s

A few years back, I would have jumped on those. The similar BC-210 (and up) series make beautiful underdash scanners, for three reasons:
1) huge display, which even I can see while behind the wheel
2) bright vacuum fluorescent display, which stomps all over orange backlit LCD.
3) LOUD AUDIO

It looks as if the Regency has a non-volatile memory. My 18-channel BC-210XLT does not; it has a nine-volt backup battery that lasts one day.

Whoever gets that scanner or those scanners should sign up for the Yahoo! group Vintage Scanners.

Thanks for trying to keep that out of the landfill.

Meanwhile, my friendly local RS's computer shows two PRO-106s in stock. We didn't go into the back room to confirm. To my chagrin, as the RR wiki entry states, the programming cable does not come with it. That's an extra $35, for part 20-546.
