I'll be thinking about it. I work that day, and if the sales are limited to stock on hand, I will probably be left out. My friendly local RS never seems to get the stock the big stores get. I've known them not to receive any MP3 players that were advertised as Black Friday specials. 

I also know that RS reruns its sales, so I wouldn't be surprised to see this resurface before 12/25, maybe even with free shipping or a $10 off store coupon thrown in.

My interest is in local LE - Alexndria, Arlington. Are these scanners capable of rebanding? The AAR (railroad) frequencies are going to tighten up in a few years. CSX will have theirs done by 2011, if I remember correctly.
