[Scan-DC] FCPD Hi Spd Chase - shots fired

Years ago, a couple of cop-friends of mine who worked for a small suburban dept
Upstate, "stole" the radio car of an obnoxious rookie (who thought he was Joe
Supercop) when he left the RMP running while out on an alarm call. It did adjust
the rookie's attitude somewhat and provided a great deal of laughs for those few
of us who knew about. Again, this was many years ago (early '80s), when such
behavior was not all that uncommon.

This is "normal" on traffic stops (unlocked and running).

I'd hate to be a cop and have to tell my boss that a perp stole my cruiser
because I left it unlocked and running...
