A front page article in today's (Thursday, 10/28/2010) New York Times says that several stores plan to have Black Friday sales ahead of Thanksgiving this year.

Perhaps there will be scanner or radio specials earlier than usual this year. Or perhaps the prices will be the same, but the stores will just use more exclamation marks in their advertising.
