Emergency Preparedness Exercise
At Dulles Airport on Saturday, May 8
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is conducting an emergency preparedness
exercise at Washington Dulles International Airport on Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to
approximately 12 noon. This simulated aircraft accident will test the Airport’s emergency
operations plan and provide hands-on training to airport and mutual aid emergency response
personnel.
The exercise will not affect normal airport operations.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be numerous emergency vehicles operating in the area of Routes
28 and 50 near Dulles Airport on Saturday morning, and smoke may be visible.
This is all part of the exercise.
