Aaah!  I _thought_ it sounded like NCR, but figured it was a Montgomery County unit... will be interested to look at the link you sent, thanks...

Will look at the rest of the posts first-

I did hear on 7-K a few mins ago that they had been reduced to a routine response and were at CT avenue and the beltway... and there followed a brief description of DC's problem that I didn't exactly catch... had to do with a power failure of their main antenna, I think... (thought they said antenna mast!), but for some reason their generators didn't cut on, because _they_ did have power... I didn't follow it.
