Police Dispatcher:  "Through a citizen, a giant pothole in front of the Burger King on Woodfield Road."
Cop:  "Yeah, there's lots of 'em, clear it 2991-1."  (2991 is "Other miscellaneous calls", the Dash 1 clearance is "event verified, adjusted, no report, no arrest".

Thanks a lot, cop... I guess he was too busy (doing what, I don't know...)  I don't expect the cop to go and fill the pothole, but the least they could do is report it to the hwy department.  It seems to me that if somebody actually took the trouble to call it in to the cops on a Saturday night, that it's pretty significant (as in this could damage your car).  I think the guy should have gone out there and taken a look at it to determine if it should be a high priority.  baah.
