I measured 17" in my backyard in Derwood (just North of Rockville) at
4:30pm, so I'm sure I'll have more than 20" before this is over. As for the
VHF DXing...that's probably due to an increase in the solar flux over the
past couple of days, rather than the snow. It was 84 the last time I
looked.
