Actually, the news articles in 2002 said that commercial satellite operators
used to see the transmissions on leased bandwidth. So, a C-band dish, lna,
etc. would do it all for a few hundred bucks.
I'd be real careful with any Russian software. While you're looking at
satellite video the software may be using your computer to perform all sorts
of nastiness.

Signals are on satellites... not scanners.
