Those VCRs will break the bank.

I was looking to see if my first scanner, a four-channel affair from Montgomery Ward was in there. The least expensive one in the Christmas catalog has six channels. I have a Bearcat 210XL and a Regency 1040. Both still work. The 210 is great for cars, as the vacuum fluorescent display is so bright and the numbers so big that you can actually see them.
Things might seem expensive now, but when you start converting the prices from these catalogs into their current value, you appreciate how far the cost of electronic equipment has fallen.
