[Scan-DC] local criminal using scanners

Anyone remember the M-1 Garand, although manufactured by 3 or 4 others, I 
believe a clip was the term used there
Sort of a horseshoe or squarred "U" shape, no springs, that held 8 rounds as 
I remember. Maybe we are dealing with a WW-II era reporter. Anyone familiar 
with the term "M-1 Thumb"?
