All -

The National Apple Harvest Festival, located at the Upper Adams county
Fairground near Arendtsville/Biglerville, northwest of Gettysburg, PA, has
provided some new frequencies in addition to lots of food and fun related
to apples. This year the abundant rain has produced remarkable apples.

They primarily use two Upper Adams Jaycees frequencies for all sorts of
logistics:

NATIONAL APPLE HARVEST FESTIVAL
151.6850	UPPER ADAMS JAYCEES
151.9250	UPPER ADAMS JAYCEES

The festival uses off-site parking in some local fields using
466.2250 [?] as a coordinating frequency for the school buses used to
transport attendees from the parking areas to the fair grounds.

At the festival site you can hear a lot of FRS traffic. Last year they
used FRS 03 as other parking coordination at the parking sites.

The Fire/police still appear to be using VHF analogue equipment but I was
not able to get any reading off their equipment. I also neglected to
check my old Mr. Scanner CDs to see if those frequencies still worked.

Due to personal limitations I was not able to set up my WinRadio to
quickly see if they were using any CTSS tones or spend more time scanning
a wider range of frequencies.

They have a live broadcast on a local radio station promoting the festival
via a UHF relay but they also need an amateur to set up a special event
station.
