[Scan-DC] Scan-OC - Weird

One of the Ocean City cops (apparently a supervisor) just made a general announcement to all seasonal officers, instructing all of them who are driving Ford Crown Victorias to "10-19" (apparently report to the station and pick up Chevrolet Impalas... seemed strange to me...

All of the OCPD Impalas I've seen since I arrived here on Wed eve have been the earlier 2000 - 2005 or '06 (not sure when tehy changed!) model...

Could they be trying to keep the mileage off the Fords?

Or maybe the Impalas get better gas mileage?  (My POV is a 2001 police-package Impala and it does get good mileage, but I didn't think there was a significant difference in fuel economy between the two...)

MSP and Worcester County have been looking all afternoon for some guys in a white van with Fla tags who are going door-to-door in the Berlin or Snow Hill area, supposedly selling magazine subscriptions, being very rude and aggressive, trying to get people to withdraw money from ATMs...
