This was not CNN's fault. The USCG failed to notify most, if not every,
other federal agency and news media in the region in advance that they
were holding a counterterrorism training exercise on the 9/11
anniversary, near where President Obama was speaking at the Pentagon and
in transit to the White House. The FBI, Secret Service, Park Police, FAA
and MPD had no clue this "routine" training was planned. After the NYC
Air Force One debacle a few months ago, DOD has been issuing press
releases about fighter fly-bys in D.C. Nobody knew. This was stupidity
by the Coast Guard, plain and simple.
