What is happening with 155.475 - the National Police frequency?

With the trend for jurisdictions being sold Motorola or other trunked
systems, this frequency, I would conjecture, is moving towards
obsolescence and a trunked pair common to all being designated as a
National frequency.

There are still a lot of jurisdictions out there, I am sure, who don't
have the finances or whatever to go trunked but they may be getting
dragged into trunking or to show they are real police, pushing their local
governments into going trunking.

Curious as to what is known.
