It was printed long before there was an Interthingy. I did cut it out and
save it. I could be wrong, but Ibelieve the words "pre-detection
recording" were in the article. I do have it somewhere nearby, but it
will take a while to dig it out.

The article ran in about 1986 or thereabouts. One lister at Scan-DC is at
Grove Enterprises. He can probably dig up the article in the archives.
The article had a schematic and the illustration of a PCB so you could
make your own, IIRC.
