I'm doing some summer cleaning today...

I have an ancient 10-channel desktop Electra-made Bearcat 210 scanner that I
really can't see myself using any more. It is in good condition in its
original box (the box is more like fair condition), although my brother (the
original owner) did put a "Worlds Fair 1982" sticker on the left side panel
of the scanner chassis. The original manual and various paperwork are
included. This would be a decent radio to scan your favorite ham repeaters,
or rural police/fire, or used for a weather receiver, or something. It
definitely does not trunk or do digital! It's 10 channels, programmable,
good backup battery (I haven't used the radio in about two years, but when I
plugged it in, my previous channels were all there). The freq coverage is
32 - 50, 146 - 174, 420 - 512 MHz. FM only. Good loud audio. Squelch
adjustment pot is a little noisy, but works fine.

If you are interested, this is free for local pickup (Ballston area of
Arlington). I don't mind shipping it, but I think (buyer-furnished) shipping
costs would easily exceed the value of the radio, and given that the radio
is over 25 years old, I'm not sure of the survivability.

Anyway, give me a shout off-list if you want to pick this up. Otherwise,
maybe I'll use it to listen to the KFC drive-thru down the street.

Cheers,
Andy
