You can also download utilities to set your computer clock to the USNO clock 
(or some other atomic clocks). I use a free program called Dimension 4, and 
it automatically syncs to a USNO server. I think the accuracy is a 
millisecond or so to start with. I set my PC to sync every few minutes, 
since computer clocks typically drift pretty badly.

One thing (among many) that irks me about Windows Vista is that it has its 
own time client which works very poorly (I routinely find it inaccurate by a 
few seconds), and then it refuses to allow you to install your own, because 
that would "interfere" with Vista's bad program.

Speaking of time, I'm often surprised that some public safety clocks are off 
by a minute or two. I hear dispatchers announce the time, and sometimes they 
are off by that much. You would think having an accurate clock would be a 
basic requirement for a public safety answering point.
