Was anyone monitoring 129.45 at approximately 5:30 p.m. today?
I had been up in the Frederick Watershed doing some amateur work when I
monitored a Chronic Occluded Pulmonary Disease (COPD, so I was
told)incident on a flight.
A male passenger on board the flight suffered COPD complications and was
spread out on the plane's floor being given oxygen from a supplementary
tank not normally used. An oncologist on board was assisting the person.
At times the patient was unresponsive but in one of the last transmissions
I was able to monitor he was able to open his eyes.
The signal was very weak so I could only catch bits and pieces and it
disappeared when I started down the hill. Once I got away from South
Mountain on US 15 I was not able to reacquire the signal.
Well, I have heard where some people have come into the world on a flight
and there have been people who have left the world on flights. Hope he
made it through.
