What: Sussex County 911 Awareness Day
When: Thursday, May 7th 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Where: Sussex County Emergency Operations Center, 21911 Rudder Road,
Georgetown
Why: An opportunity for residents to learn more about local emergency
services in Sussex County. Police, Fire, EMS, DEMA, DNREC and other
first responder disciplines will be represented and have displays
available for the public to view.
Who: Event is open to persons of all ages and there is no cost

Join us for a Fun Filled Day of Safety Education
Displays and activities will include State Police helicopters, Sgt.
Dan, State Farm Insurance, K9 Demo's, Police Cars, Fire Trucks,
Ambulance, Paramedics, County and State Command Center, Bike Safety,
Smokey the Bear, Vince and Larry (the Crash Dummies), Delaware
Electric Co-Op, Fire Marshall's safety displays, Delaware State Fire
School, DEMA, DNREC, and 9-1-1 Education and tours of the Operations
area.
