For those who heard about the story of the passenger landing a King Air after the pilot died at the controls, (http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/04/13/florida.plane.emergency/)

 

The FAA has now posted the ATC audio of the controller talking the passenger (who was, in fact, a licensed pilot but only certified for single-engine aircraft) down.

 

It's pretty compelling stuff and includes this exchange:

 

ATC: Is the Autopilot on?

Passenger: Good Lord, I'm hand-flying the airplane.
