IMPORTANT UPDATE for Maryland Public Television's viewers in
Frederick & Montgomery counties, channel 62:

On April 16 at 9am, MPT to Begin Digital Broadcasts and Cease
Analog Broadcast of Channel 62 Transmitter
ONLY THOSE TV HOMES RECEIVING MPT OVER THE AIR WILL BE AFFECTED

In order to complete the FCC mandated transition to digital
television and give much-needed bandwidth to Frederick-area
emergency responders, MPT will soon cease analog broadcast at
its WFPT Frederick-area transmitter.

This means that viewers in the Frederick and Montgomery County
areas with older analog TVs will no longer receive MPT's
programming over the air without a set-top converter box. The
vast majority of MPT viewers with satellite service or cable
should see no interruption of our programming at any time during
this conversion.
