Standing outside in the late afternoon I also noticed the ground level wind
seemed to be from the NW, while the cumulous clouds were moving quickly to
the E.

Subject: [Scan-DC] More windshear

Lots of windshear alerts at National in the last 30 minutes. Several flights

went around during a period when the winds were swirling, moving from
southerly to northerly. One flight even begged off National altogether and
opted "to go somewhere else." Controller reporting 40 knot gains on approach

to all runways.
