Nope, I doubt seriously that BCTool can support the 396XT the way it is. There are many differences between the 396 and the XT model. Poor Rob has totally stalled on development on his program - his job is eating up a lot of time.

However, FreeScan does support it - it has some bugs, but Assaf is diligently working on them...

I should mention that he just moved the program to .Net framework, and I'm trying - slowly - to get the user manual redone that's stored on the RR wiki. Uploading 100 images or more on a dialup is an exercise in futility.

By the way, I seem to recall that UPMan mentioned the UASD will lag the release of the XT models somewhat. They're not ready for prime time yet, I guess

I'll let you know about the latter. Regarding the former, I will go with bcTool for programming, control, and logging. It's a great program, and it's free.
