[Scan-DC] Question for pilots...

To the best of my knowledge, they are always left on, unless in maintenance.

Even in VFR conditions, many pilots, especially the airline flights, 
will use
the ILS for confirmation and perhaps even coupled approaches for a
stabilized approach, a smoother approach for the passengers.
