I have noticed the posts relative to the radio traffic on 452.000. I own
MTC Communications and have put those put other repeater up for APS and
Atlantic and several other including Montgomery Village Foundation and
Proactive Security. I a dealer for BK/Relm, EF Johnson, and Uniden
Scanners.
Most of your observations are correct. I just recently put up the 452.000
repeater on a high rise in Rockville. The others are out here in
Gaithersburg. Riderwood uses their system during the day and the security
firms are on at night which helps prevent interference. The beep at the end
of some of the repeaters is an option that I can turned on or off. I like
it because it helps me ID my systems when I am scanning and have other
traffic. It also tells me when the input signal drops.
