Concerning the "Channels" page, the most important thing is that [MOT 3600
CC] is set to [Multi table]. The reason none of the radio boxes on the
[Tables] page are checked is because the 603d UHF system doesn't use a
"standard" table. As has already been pointed out on RR, the high for the
380 table can be set to 479; however, the only frequency below 460.025 being
used is 453.450, so the 380 low and 380 high will not hamper performance in
any way, the choice is yours. The [MOT Custom Trunking Table] box in the
upper right corner of the "Channels" page will not apply since you are using
[Extended Tables].

Subject: [Scan-DC] Pro-96, MPD, Win96
I've been following the discussion of how to handle MPD on the Pro96. I had
already gotten my Pro96 working fairly well, but I decided to "improve"
it following the instructions at RadioReference for "Programming the MPDC in
Digital Scanners." Did it just the way they said, drove into DC today and
couldn't hear a thing. Guess that was a mistake....
Anyone who has accomplished this, I'd appreciate a word of advice. On the
"Channels" page of Win96, should I have both the "MOT 3600 CC" and "MOT 9600
CC" windows set to "Custom Table?"
And on the "Extended Tables" pop-out window...mine doesn't look like the one
displayed on RadioReference, which can probably be attributed to a version
difference. The one from RadioReference has no check boxes checked above
the parameters. I have only two check boxes, "Use these entries for 3600bps
systems" and "Use these entries for 9600bps systems." Presumably, one or
the other should be checked, right? Which one?
And at the top right of the Channels page, I left the original settings in
the "MOT Custom Trunking Table" box: 406.2 Mhz, 380 offset and 25 khz step
size. But does this box even apply if you're using the Extended Tables?
Thanks. I live out where MPD cannot be received and must drive into or near
the city in order to test my settings, so any advice that cuts down on the
need for experimentation would be appreciated.
