I do as well, railfanning was my whole reason for even getting into RF scanning in the first place.

Same here. Started with a four-channel Montgomery Ward 856 crystal scanner, made by Sharp. It still pulls in the distant stuff better than the programmable scanners. I dreamed of owning a six-channel crystal scanner. Back then the hot railfanning scanners were Regency scanners.
