[Scan-DC] Re: Officer shot on 395 at Glebe

I have posted a voice-activated audio recording of this incident on my web 
site at http://www.w4je.com/395.wav. Because the audio recording is 
voice-activated, the silent periods between transmissions have automatically 
been removed. The wave file is 14 MB in size so it may take a bit to 
download.

NOTE -- I have not edited this file down as I don't have editing software 
yet on my new Vista machine. You will need to advance the file to 11 minutes 
and 57 seconds into the file, which is where the action starts. I was 
recording both Police and Fire (Arlington). The action starts with a medic 
unit replying to dispatch that they are responding to 395. The FD dispatcher 
explains what they have. Shortly after that, it goes to the police dispatch 
channel. Once I realized what was going on, the scanner was held on PD only.
