Two years ago Dave Schoenberger submitted these frequencies he monitored
at the Montgomery County Fair:
461.8125 [ d125]
463.5375 [ d364] Primary?
467.6875 [ 97.4] Parking
469.5000 [ 88.5]
This year I plugged them into my scanner (Alinco DJ-X2000) to monitor
while I was at the Fair last Saturday. I did not receive any hits with
these frequencies but I ultimately found three others the Admin office
used to talk to the gates and grandstand personnel and one used by the
parking personnel from a static station behind Burlington Coat Factory
with a 70 cm super sensitive five element beam and a Win Radio 1500e set
up (one person asked me if I was connecting into the internet!).
The three I found were:
467.7500 [110.9] Channel 5 (?)
467.8000 [136.5] Channel 3 (?)
467.8700 [?] Channel ?
I tentatively assigned the channels as I caught the personnel referring to
them as such. Even though there appears to be a minimum of five channels
available, I received no hits I could ascribe to the missing channels.
All monitored traffic I heard seemed confined to these three frequencies
with Channel 3 the main admin channel. I suspect since these three
frequencies are close to each other the 'missing' two frequencies would be
relatively close but I never saw them on the spectrum analyzer.
Using my Win-Radio 1500e to scan the 450 - 470 band I did not see any of
Doug's frequencies active during my times available.
The fourth frequency I registered was FRS Channel 12, 467.6625 which was
used for parking control. As my scanner is set up for all the FRS
frequencies, I was surprised I did not hear any general fair goers use the
FRS for communications, e.g. families, groups.
Any additions would be appreciated.
