[Scan-DC] pro-96 question

Hi all,

I own an early model of the pro-96 from when they first came out. The 
CPU is
version 1.1 and the DSP is upgraded to 1.4. My problem is that after 
about 10
minutes of scanning (Montgomery County, MD police and EMS) the reception
gets lots of static and then gets almost completely garbled after 20 
minutes.

I compared the radio to a friends who has a pro96 with cpu 1.4 and his
remained crystal clear. I sent the radio in to radio shacks repair 
shop. They
tested it in Florida and found no problems.

Anyone else with an early pro96 cpu scanning MoCo have a similar 
problem?
